More Considerations For Organic Food

It has been abundantly clear that the foods people need to be eating to lose weight should include more of the organic variety, or foods that have passed the inspection via the USDA or by another third-party inspection group.
The obvious advantage to eating organic over non-organic is that the food that you are eating is much more nutrient dense, which is often overlooked when cruising the grocery store aisle filling your shopping cart.
Since these organic foods have a higher nutrient count than that of non-organic that means that you can get away with purchasing less of them to get the same nutritional value thus saving you money at the store, and with the current status of the economy it's always nice having some extra money left over.
So what are the best organic deals in the store?
One of the best deals in the grocery store where buying organic over non-organic is the better deal are fruits and vegetables.
If you start to compare prices, you might find that organic asparagus is only a dollar more per pound.
On average, organic food could have upwards of 60% more nutrients than non-organic food, so if the price of organic asparagus is $5 per pound and the non-organic is $4 per pound then it would make more sense to buy the organic as the 60% increase in nutrient density offsets the 20% price savings.
That means that you can cut your portion sizes down and make that pound last longer.
Also by eating fewer calories typically leads to further weight loss.
Another good organic buy at the grocery store is meat. Nearly every organic meat source is always going to be a better buy than non-organic meat as again the nutrient density could average upwards of 60% more nutrients than non-organic meat as well.
Take for example ground beef- organic ground beef might cost around $9 per pound, whereas non-organic might run between 6$ to$7 per pound. If organic meat is more nutrient dense you could patty up that pound into 4 maybe 5 burgers making them making them about $1.80 per burger patty.
The non-organic meat you might only get 2 to 3 patties out of it to match the nutrient content of the organic burger patties, which is going to put the price of each of those patties over $2 each.
A lot can be said for eating organic food wherever possible. Not only will it be healthier for you, but it is more cost effective putting more money back into your pocket.
